 Subscription

Our software is provided as a cloud-based service and therefore requires an active subscription. In this chapter, we will address frequently asked questions about our subscription model and the cloud-based nature of the software.

Why does the software require a subscription?

Any collaborative software that allows multiple users to work together online requires a central server that coordinates activity between all connected users. The operation, maintenance, security, and reliability of these servers are handled by Lantiv. Because maintaining this cloud infrastructure involves ongoing costs, the software is offered through a subscription model that covers the continued operation and support of the service.

Does this mean that the software is cloud based?

Yes, Lantiv Timetabling Turbo is a cloud-based application and requires an internet connection to operate.

The server you connect to when using the program is hosted within the Amazon cloud infrastructure and is physically located in one of Amazon's data centers. Lantiv operates servers in multiple regions around the world, allowing us to assign you a server that is geographically close to your location. This helps provide the best possible performance and responsiveness when working with the software.

What kind of an internet connection is required?

Any modern internet connection is sufficient. The software is highly optimized for network usage and does not require a particularly fast connection. Most actions performed within the software do not require any data transfer because the client application already has all the information it needs locally. Only the actual changes you make are transmitted to the server and synchronized with other connected users, using a highly efficient communication protocol. As a result, the software remains responsive even when managing very large schedules involving thousands of people. Under normal conditions, you should not experience noticeable delays or lag while using the system.

How many users can work together on the same server?

Concurrent users are users who are connected to the server and have a file open at the same time.

The maximum number of concurrent users permitted on a server depends on your subscription plan. The basic plan allows up to 3 concurrent users, and this limit can be increased, at additional cost, to as many as 10 concurrent users.

It is important to distinguish between authorized users and concurrent users. The number of users who are allowed to connect to the server is unlimited, meaning you can create as many user accounts as needed. However, the number of users who can be actively working with the software at the same time is limited by your subscription plan.

What is the duration of the subscription?

The minimum subscription period is one month.

You can either pay month-to-month using a recurring subscription (credit card required) or pay for several months in advance by credit card or wire transfer.

Monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time, as described below. There are no cancellation penalties, no long-term commitments, and no hidden fees. The only charges are the subscription fees for the period during which the service is active.

What happens if the subscription is canceled?

If you cancel your subscription, your server will remain available until the end of the current billing period. Once that period expires, the server will be paused and will no longer be accessible until the subscription is renewed.

Your data will be retained for one year after the subscription is canceled. If you renew your subscription within that one-year period, your server and all of its data will be restored exactly as you left them, allowing you to continue working without any loss of information.

You can also download all of your files from the server before the subscription expires. Downloaded files can be opened offline, allowing you to view them, print them, and export data from them even while your subscription is inactive.

How to subscribe?

To subscribe, simply click the Subscribe Now button on our home page. If you prefer to pay for several months in advance, you can select one of the available options under the Subscription Duration section.

Once your subscription is activated, you will receive the information needed to connect to your server and begin using the software.

How to cancel the subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation, the service will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which the server will be paused.

Before the subscription expires, we recommend that you download your files from the server. Downloaded files can still be opened offline, allowing you to view them, print them, and export data from them while your subscription is inactive.

If you did not enable automatic renewal, no action is required to cancel your subscription. Simply do not renew it when the current subscription period ends, and the server will be paused automatically. If you enabled automatic renewal, you can disable it by logging in to your account using the link provided in any renewal email and turning off automatic renewal.

If you need assistance, you can always contact us at contact@lantiv.com, and we will be happy to help. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve you.

How to renew the subscription?

To renew your subscription, simply use the same Subscribe Now button that you used when subscribing for the first time, or select one of the prepayment options available under the Subscription Duration section.

In most cases, you will receive the same server credentials that you used during your previous subscription period. In addition, we retain your data on our servers for one year after a subscription ends. If you renew your subscription within that period, your server and all of its data will be restored, allowing you to continue working exactly where you left off.
